Dropbox.Tech

Dropbox.Tech is an editorial website with engaging writing about Dropbox’s engineering challenges. It helps attract engineering recruits and strengthen the perception of Dropbox as an innovative tech company. I helped redesign the site to be more functional, polished, and recognizably Dropbox. My responsibilities included research, UX, visual design, and concepts for an illustration system.

The identity
Coding is at the heart of the identity system—with colors and typography inspired by code editors, ascii art, and a dynamic logo that references programming functions.

The website
Our readers—primarily engineers and tech journalists—want substance, clarity, and efficiency. So, we went heavy on content and light on fluff. We also designed the site in dark mode to mimic coding environments and so you can read comfortably at night.
